The Emanuel School Boat Club, London, was founded in 1914 and has been going from strength to strength since then. Emanuel has won the School’s Head of the River a record eleven times. Gold medals have been won regularly in the National Championships at Nottingham and Emanuel oarsmen have regularly represented Great Britain in the Junior World Championships on many occasions. Emanuel crews have rowed on the Tideway for over sixty years and today there are over 100 pupils who are active members of the club.
